The Writer: Copywriting with passion and promise
What this copywriter has:
As a child I had no idea what a copywriter was but I do remember loving movie poster lines: Alien - In space no one can hear you scream. Jaws II - Just when you thought it was safe to get back into the water... (The line was better than the film). Amadeus - The man, the music, the murder. This is poetry outside of a book. Like music, these lines bypass the intellect and strike at the emotions. And still today I sometimes pop into a cinema foyer just to check out the copywriting on the latest movie posters. (Please don't tell anybody this). The standard can vary hugely but I enjoyed the gravity of 'Saving Private Ryan' (The mission is a man), the anticipation of 'I am Legend' ( The last man on earth is not alone) and the longer, more rhythmic melancholy of the civil war western, 'Ride with the Devil':
In a no man's land between North and South Brilliant. It gives the reader so much before they have even taken their seats. Pure reader reward. My aim is to create content that allows the brand to speak to the audience with passion and promise. This builds a friendship and that can only be good news. |
